Aerobatics. in a Super Decathlon! See the world from a new angle! Why would you want to learn aerobatics from a low time pilot with even lesser experience performing aerobatics? Aerobatics is a very dangerous type of flying if done wrong. The pedigree of the instructor you select is very important. Low time instructors teaching aerobatics is far too common. Our aerobatic instructors have been flying aerobatics at the competition level for 13 years, and other aerobatic coaches an resources for many more years. Give us a call. Tailwheels are the way god intended man to fly! All the best pilots know how to tame the tailwheel! It makes you a better pilot if you know how to dance on the rudder pedals correctly!
Our tailwheel course is designed to take ) time or low time tailwheel pilots, and not only make you a good tailwheel pilot, but make you an exceptional tailwheel pilot and ready for more advanced tailwheel type airplanes.
Our tailwheel course is typically around 10 hours, however it depends on the pace of the student. There is no check ride, and at the completion of your training you'll receive your tailwheel endorsement!
Spins and Upset Recovery Training.
We offer Spin Endorsements for CFI applicants from experienced aerobatic instructors in our 8KCAB Super Decathlon.
Ready for your flight review? We have a number of different curriculums to help you do more than just "stay current". We want to you to learn some new things and excel as a safe pilot. All of our instructors are happy when you say "Hey, that wasn't so bad, and it was fun!"
Most flight reviews are completed in a single day.
We tailor make each flight review around the students time, experience, missions and aircraft types flown.
No two flight reviews are the same and you'll go home happy having learned a lot and feeling safer about yourself in the left seat!
Did you know airplanes don't have to land on a runway? We offer basic "back country", "STOL" or "Bush" flying courses. Our aircraft are perfect for introductory through advanced off airport flying. If you're looking to broaden your flying experiences, our Bush flying courses can introduce you to a whole new skillset and experiences. This course is best suited for aircraft owners that want to learn to handle their aircraft in its most extreme environments.

Are you preparing for a check ride? If you're learning to fly at another flight school and looking to get another seasoned instructor to make sure you're properly prepared for your check ride, come fly with us! We will put you with a very experienced instructor to make sure to fill in the gaps that your other training didn't get doner and can offer a "Mock Check ride" to simulate the check ride experience.
Columbia Pilots get a lot of this during their private pilot education, but flying in higher elevations and mountains can be tricky and there are a lot of hidden dangers. Our mountain flying course is taught by mountain flying locals! Be prepared when you fly into the mountains and know how to avoid dangerous situations!
Do you need a certain number of hours in a type to satisfy your insurance? We can help you with that. In any of the Club Types or in other types with a provided aircraft.
Our instructors have a lot of time in a wide number of makes and types and in many cases have an instructor that meets the insurance requirements of most insurance companies
Get your Pilots License!
Do you want to get your pilots license? Our private pilot training courses are available in a number of aircraft with a number of instructors. Schedule your discovery flight and meet some of our instructors, and pick one that you like the most! We want you to be comfortable in your training environment, it makes learning easier and more fun!
If your looking to knock out some training in a short period of time, we can arrange a special "In a Weekend" training course! Get your 10 hours for insurance, or your tail wheel endorsement in a weekend!
Come camp out in the Columbia, CA Airport Campground and fly as much as possible through the weekend! Courtesy Cars available can make a vacation out of your training weekend! We can even arrange to come to your airport in special circumstances. All you have to do is call and ask!

Many pilots are looking for economical ways to build time and experience in order to meet a minimum number of hours to qualify for a job. We offer discounted block rates for time builders and opportunities for club members to gain experience flying small GA aircraft across the country with some of our maintenance vendors and ferry pilots and instructors. If you need to build time, give us a call!
